Street Outreach Ministry Bus
The mobile form of STORM is a search-and-rescue initiative that uses a 14-passenger shuttle bus to reach women trapped in sex trafficking. In this ministry, we follow the Lord’s practice of “leaving the 99 to find the one” (Matthew 18:12).
Our purpose is to change lives by fostering trusting relationships. Over time, trust is built, hearts are softened, and life-changing decisions are made.
What We Do
-
Schedule: Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
-
Resource Connection: Help our friends access recovery programs, housing, and other resources when they are ready.
-
Offer Unconditional Love: Build trust through genuine care.
-
Pray and Listen: Hear their stories and support them spiritually.
-
Provide Essentials: Food and hygiene items, plus seasonal needs like winter supplies.

What to Know Before You Go
If you’re volunteering on the Street Outreach Ministry Bus, here are some important tips to help you serve effectively and safely:
-
Dress Modestly and Comfortably: Wear clothing that is casual, non-distracting, and weather-appropriate. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
-
Be Respectful and Non-Judgmental: Listen more than you talk. Treat everyone with dignity, and avoid making assumptions.
-
Follow Safety Guidelines: Always stay with the team, follow the instructions of the ministry leaders, and never put yourself in a risky situation.
-
Keep Conversations Appropriate: Focus on building trust. Avoid debates or controversial topics, and respect personal boundaries.
- Be Patient: Change takes time. Some participants may not be ready to accept help immediately, and that’s okay.
-
Do Not Give Personal Phone Numbers or Money: Even if asked, refrain from giving out your personal contact information or money. All support should go through the ministry team.
