Family Activity Center

For over 30 years, the Lord’s Gym has created youth athletic activities with the purpose of instilling and reinforcing character, resiliency, and hope in At-Risk youth in Greater Cincinnati’s struggling neighborhoods such as Over-the-Rhine, West-End, and Price Hill.

In 2019, we formed our football program to further this purpose.  The football program has engaged and encouraged youth and their caregivers, specifically in Price Hill, largely through our dedicated and passionate staff, volunteer coaches, and the generosity of collaborating partners such as businesses, churches, schools, and other organizations.  We would be honored if you would come out, support and cheer on these young men as they learn life’s lessons on the gridiron, such as pushing through and overcoming adversity and the powerful synergy of a highly functioning team.

FAMILY ACTIVITY CENTER

“I’ve loved working with the kids. It’s been great helping them find the right path in life. (FAC) is making a difference in their lives.” – Erik, Volunteer

At the Lord’s Gym Family Activity Center in Price Hill you can serve at-risk youth, and their parents. You provide encouragement to become involved in healthy activities that promote positive life skills at school and at home, while nurturing their relationship with God if they so choose. This program has seen improved performance in school, respect of authority, respect for community and cultures, and the minimization or avoidance of destructive behaviors.

Countless studies prove that youth are more likely to graduate from high school, go to college or find meaningful employment IF they stay connected to positive programs. They are less likely to have a record, get pregnant, or get someone pregnant. They benefit by having a safe place to hang out, build relationships with God, staff, volunteers, and each other while participating in sports and other activities.
