A message from Scott Bowers...

The one thing I missed last year when I rode my bike across America was not being able to ride bikes with our Lord’s Gym youth from Price Hill in Cincinnati. That is about to change. We are in our winter bicycle maintenance activity whereby we are working on the bikes for our upcoming bicycle season starting the first week of May. Youth will meet in May to train and prepare for our 326 mile “Resiliency Ride” across the state of Ohio!
Our goal is to take a team of 21 youth riders, 10 adult riders and 2 adult crew members who will set out from our Queensgate location on June 18th and ride the Ohio to Erie Bicycle trail. We will carry our gear, camp each night, and touch our front tires in Lake Erie in Cleveland’s Edgewater Park on June 24th or 25th.
I am inviting you and others to help make this goal possible for our youth and staff. The cost is $600 per rider, and we are trying to raise $18,600. Please seek the Lord’s direction as to whether He would have you be a part in making this an epic experience for our youth. Consider helping a youth develop greater resiliency for $100, or one dollar per mile ($326), $600, or more. Any excess raised will go to fund the Family Activity Center’s Youth’s spring and summer programing.
More than anything, please pray for the continued planning, logistics, and spiritual impact of the trip. You can learn more at www.YRAdventure.com (Youth Resiliency Adventure) about the Resiliency Ride or email at info@LordsGymMinistries.org.
