From Chaplain Lynn...

By providing empowerment through employment, the Aruna Project creates lifelong freedom marked by holistic care for victims of human trafficking. Their products are crafted in freedom by skilled Artisans who are finding their voice, experiencing independence and growing with a sisterhood of others who have overcome.

A good friend introduced me to former Bengals player Vinnie Rey who worked with Aruna Project in the past. Vinnie then connected me with Aruna Project CEO Ryan Berg so that we could collaborate to make an impact in human trafficking here in Cincinnati. Although we both have different challenges in our attempt to make a difference in human trafficking, what’s the SAME is that these women need their dignity and honor restored.

Ryan believed that one way we could accomplish this is by generously donating 60 Aruna Athletic Drawstring bags filled with hygiene kits put together by Missio Dei. We loaded a few boxes filled with these precious gifts to distribute from our STORM bus that we take out a few days during the week. A picture speaks a thousand words and you can see the joy that immediately filled our friends hearts once they received these precious bags.
