CHRIS McNUTT - Youth Athletics Chaplain

Coach Chris is a Cincinnati native who attended Lakota West High School and graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He moved to the D.C. area in 2014 to pursue a career in public policy. However, while living in northern Virginia, he discovered a passion for working with youth while volunteering at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center. His experience with BBBS reaffirmed his conviction that there are many children who need more mentors and positive adult role models in their corner to encourage them, listen to them, and remind them that their value and worth is not based on performance, rather in that they are made in God’s image and loved by Him.

Since 2017, he has worked in various youth development roles in the sports and mental health field. He first got involved with Lord’s Gym in summer 2021, volunteering during the adult hours at the Family Activities Center. He quickly got involved coaching youth tackle football, and came on staff with Lord’s Gym in October 2021. Since then, he has come to love Price Hill and the families that reside here. He is thankful the Lord’s Gym gives him a platform to share the good news and unwavering hope that is found in relationship with Jesus with families and kids in Cincinnati.

Sports and an active lifestyle have been a passion of Coach Chris’ throughout his entire life. Red, black, and white have been his colors through and through, and he is thrilled to be leading the Lord’s Gym Panthers youth sports program. He hopes to continue expanding the organized youth sports and training opportunities for boys and girls in Price Hill. He is beyond thankful for his team of volunteer coaches and leadership of nearby local schools, rec centers, leagues, and donors who make Panther sports possible.

He and his beautiful wife, Bailey, met in Price Hill and live there with their dog, Charlie.
