I love to have fun.

I also love a good challenge. 

Several weeks ago I got to experience both at our staff’s team-building exercise. We played fowling, where we threw footballs at bowling pins in hopes to knock them down to score points. What a cool activity! 

Although I’m not naturally athletically inclined, I had a ball and knocked down my fair share of pins. It was a challenge at first, but as I studied my teammates techniques I was able to develop my own talent. The Word tells us “as iron sharpens iron…” (Proverbs 27:17). More importantly, I think, I had such a blast with my team. The fellowship was amazing.

We want to give you this same opportunity to challenge yourself, but also have fun with others. We are inviting you to several events this year. The first two are friend-raising events. And the first one is fowling!!!

Grab two of your friends from work, school or church and get signed up to play. Have some fun and wear your craziest T-Shirt to win a prize for the most creative! If it’s just you, don’t worry, we’ll put you on a team.

You’ll enjoy time with friends and meeting new people. You’ll have the opportunity to challenge yourself and build skill, whether you’ve played before or you are like me and playing for the first time.
