Last Friday was a whirlwind of energy and excitement, and while it wasn’t without its challenges, the joy on the kids’ faces made every moment worthwhile. It’s moments like these that remind me why I pour my heart into ministry work – it’s not always easy, but it’s worth it when I see these precious souls thriving and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Saturday morning’s gift-opening was the perfect cherry on top, a tangible reminder of the generosity and kindness that surrounds us. It’s not just about the gifts, though – it’s about the love and support that comes with them. Knowing that so many people have invested in these children’s lives, telling them they matter and are loved, is truly what makes the difference.
As I reflected on the evening, I felt my cup being filled, my spirit renewed. It’s a reminder that even in the tough moments, God is at work, using us to make a difference in these young lives. My prayer is that these kids will continue to know they’re loved, valued, and cherished – not just by me, but by the God who created them with purpose and intention.
If you’re wondering why I do what I do, it’s because of moments like these. It’s because I get to be a part of something bigger than myself, something that brings joy and hope to these incredible kids. And for that, I’m eternally grateful.
HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make Christmas a little brighter for our kiddos! Your generosity and kindness are a reflection of God’s love, and it’s making a lasting impact on their little hearts. Most importantly, remember that they are seen, they are loved, and God loves them SO MUCH! – Valerie

An Introduction to Lord's Gym Ministries
Lord’s Gym Ministries, borne of the Foundation of Compassionate American Samaritans (FOCAS), began in 1993 serving in the urban core of Greater Cincinnati transforming lives and seeing people grow strong in the Lord (Ephesians 6:10).
We work on a very spartan budget, limited processes, a no-frills environment, and high financial accountability standards. We have been a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability or ECFA since 2002.
